UGC Sponsored Seminar "Estuaries of India: Past, Present & Future"
The department organised two day national seminar on Estuaries of India: Past, Present & Future, sponsored by University Grants Commission, New Delhi, on 24-25 July 2015. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr.Shrikant Karlekar, Retd. Professor & Dean of Earth Sciences, Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune. The seminar was attended by over 120 participants including students. In all, 28 research papers were presented at the seminar.
At the outset Coastal Observations Photographs taken by Dr.P.T.Hanamgond was exhibited.

Water Awareness Program
Organised Awareness program on Water today 5 March 2016, in Association with Groundwater Dept, Govt of Karnataka. Shri.S.R.Hegde, Retd Sr. Geologist, gave a general talk on Water and awareness. I gave a talk on "Water- Its importance and management".
