ACTIVITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Geology conducts

Study tours/field trips to places of geological interests within state and out side state.
Arranges special lectures
student seminars/poster presentations
encourages student projects
Has the tradition of welcoming the freshers and giving farewell to the outgoing final year students.
Conducts crash courses/bridge courses

FIELD VISITS/STUDY TOURS

Conducted study tour to Sogal, Peacock Gorge & Savadatti, for B.Sc.II Sem on 27 Jan 2016

STUDENT AWARDS/RECOGNITION

Ms.Sharon Shetty (IV Sem), Ms.Amruta Borade (VI Sem) & Ms.Rakhi Chavan (B.Sc. 2015 batch) were awarded Dr.P.T.Hanamgond Prize for securing highest marks in Geology during previous year.

Mr.Yogesh Balekundri (IV Sem) & Ms.Sharon Shetty (IV Sem) have bagged Ist and 2nd Prizes respectively at NEBULA 2016 competitions held at Chougule College, Madgaon, Goa.
